How to Apply for a Bike

The Kiwanis Club of Calgary Chinook’s Bike Program is accessed through applications from social agencies. Once a month through the spring and summer, we send out an email to the social agencies we partner with. This email announces when our next bike giveaway event will be. It also informs them of how to submit their applications for their clients. A week before the giveaway we let the agency know if we will have bikes available for their clients. We also let them know the location and their appointment time for pick up. On the day of the event the social agency is responsible for picking up the bike and helmet for their clients (clients are not allowed at the bike giveaway event).

We partner with many different agencies in the city. Check out our annual report to see the list of agencies that received bikes last year. If you are a client with one of these agencies you can contact them to ask to be added to their bike application list. They will need your child’s first name, age, height and gender orientation. We are sorry but we do not take direct referrals.
